*First Love

It was dark, we were outside, she stood in front of me looking at the playground floor. I took hold of her hand and she looks up at me, a smile spreads across her face. We lean in and our lips touch, she wraps her arms around me and I do the same. Then my head hits the wooden desk because I had fallen asleep listening to Ms. Conners drone about covalent bonding between atoms. I put my head down and i ran the dream through my head, I was over thinking like I always do. I had only been talking to her for a few weeks, through programs and websites like AOL Instant Messenger and Mibba. We commented back and forth on each others' literary works over Mibba and chatted about everyday life over AIM, but one thing was clear to me; I really liked her. I knew her in middle school through Beth, whom I knew through Zach, but I had not really talked to her, hadn't really seen what's on the inside and now that I have I have discovered that we are extremely compatible. We liked many of the same things, we agreed on ideas, and we often shared the same point of view on many topics. With all of this internet speak I really longed to see her in person and that weekend was my chance, it was her and Christine's Youth Group's Halloween Party. Christine had invited me to this event, telling me I could show off my nerd-like skills at games like Guitar Hero, but that was not the reason I agreed to go. After a long twenty-seven hour period of boredom, it was time for the party. Since it was a costume party and I had no real costume, I grabbed the mask my Uncle gave me from BlizzCon and jumped into the car. The whole car ride there was me daydreaming about possible scenarios that could have happened. After a seven minute drive, I had finally arrived at the party. Christine was there to greet me and so were my friends Patrick and Keegan. We went inside to play some games and after a few minutes I heard Christine yell,"Chanelle!" My heart stopped, we all got up to greet her and she replied in kind and with an added hug. Then we redirected our group to the nearby preschool playground, I immediately thought of my dream in Chemistry and followed. I noticed there were swings in the playground so I started running for one, Patrick closely behind, I managed to get one and Patrick the other, but Chanelle who was following us, playfully pouted because she didn't get a swing. I offered for her to sit on my lap and to my surprise she agreed. After she sat down I began swinging, the scent of her hair entranced me. It entranced me so much that I didn't even realize that Patrick had gotten behind me and he then kicked me as I came back. While it wasn't a hard kick I still grabbed Chanelle by the waist so my imbalence didn't knock her off, then I called Patrick a moron for kicking me while I was swinging. Later that night, due to a lack of self control I took Chanelle privately back to the playground like in my dream. I told her I wanted to ask her something, so she followed. I led her to the swings and grabbed her by the hands, my knees were trembling, but I forced them to stand strong. I opened my mouth and let the words of matrimony slip through and I stood there for the longest three seconds of my life, imagining every possible answer and I got the best one, yes.
